Submitting my information for entry into the Hall of Legends! It's definitely been a busy month in Hearthstone for me. Being that I had some extra time off this month from my duties, I decided that this month would be the month that I reach legend. I normally get up to about rank 2 or 3 every month and never really make that final push.

This month I did the first half of the climb from ranks 15-5 with Miracle Rogue. Then the new cube lock started popping up alongside the new aggro paladin as the meta settled and that deck became less viable. After testing Cube Lock out for a bit, I alternated between Tempo Rogue and Razakus Priest until I hit rank 1 and took a fall all the way back to rank 4. I'll admit it was a bit disheartening but I was determined to make it.

I then played Razakus Priest back up to rank 2 and bounced between ranks 1 and 2 for quite a while.  This prompted me to change my strategy, to the face strategy, I switched to aggro paladin and didn't look back.  After a rocky start, I caught a streak and went from Rank 2 with 1 star all the way to legend with only 3 losses along the way.

My first "final boss" was a shaman and he proceeded to draw the nuts and crushed me. Then I ran into the same quest mage twice in a row to make my final push from rank 1 to legend. I won't deny it, I was so excited I ran into the bedroom and woke my wife up to come stare at the monitor in my office with me. Hahaha.

My suggestion for anyone wanting to make that push to legend is to ignore your rank. I think one of the biggest stumbling blocks I dealt with was the fear of being de-ranked. The only way to win is to play and streaks happen, both bad and good. Eventually, the streaks will go your way and you will make it legend. Just don't let it get to you and keep on pushing.

Regardless, I owe a great debt of gratitude to Dan and Frid. I've been listening to the podcast since I started playing and have learned a great deal about the game from HearthCoach. HearthCoach was and is without a doubt a large help in my quest of joining the legend ranks of Hearthstone. So many thanks to you Dan and Frid for doing such a great job. Here's to many more Patron tourneys, sandwiches, Dan podcast intro's , and Ronnie appearances. As always, remember to "Tap First."

Many Thanks,

P.S. Special thanks to Dan this month, at the time I was playing he was rank 3 and pushing before he logged off for the night. Seeing Dan making a hard push to legend this month gave me that little bit of extra motivation I needed to really buckle down and go for it. So , good luck to you Dan. I'm  really hoping for ya to make it to legend this month!
